Earth Day 2022 Tree Planting at Local School

In celebration of Earth Day 2022, on Friday, April 22nd, Townsend Lumber partnered with a local tree supplier and organized a tree planting event with students at a local Tillsonburg elementary school.

Townsend Lumber has adopted a mindful approach to sustainable forestry, committed to conserving biodiversity, enhancing/protecting wildlife habitats and watersheds, as well as reducing the build-up of greenhouse gases. At Townsend Lumber, we want future generations continuing to treat the natural world with care and respect, and we know our business is only as strong as the communities and customers we serve.

It is our hope that by planting these trees with the Grade 5 & 6 students at Monsignor J.H. O’Neil Catholic School and getting them engaged about the importance of protecting nature, they will continue to have a long-lasting respect for the environment.
